Systems Architect required for a very dynamic, joint program office information technology-focused effort supporting an operational, mission critical project.

The incumbent will play an integral part of the programme’s architecture team, serving multiple task orders in the creation of current and future system architecture models, including detailed system architecture and system design specifications. Responsible for providing technical input throughout system development life cycle, translating requirements and use cases into clear MODAF-based architecture models, completing architecture trade studies, and representing the architecture team during customer reviews. You are expected to apply architectural knowledge to solving the customer’s and programmes critical technical problems. Additionally the Systems Architect should bring knowledge of working government customers, and should remain up-to-date with technical tools and new architectural capabilities. The Systems Architect will also be asked to provide support to the overall system engineering expertise in the architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow, and network design and implementation for the project as well as assisting in system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.

Must have:
* Experience as a system engineer in programs that encompassed systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, deployment, and transition into operations.
* Significant knowledge and experience in the definition of enterprise (business and technical) architectures using the MOD Architecture Framework
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office products
* Ability to conceptualise alternative approaches to problem resolution
* Ability to adjust, sort and distinguish priorities
* Ability to take ownership of an assignment through to completion and work effectively with
people from different departments, companies, and customer organisations
* Self starter requiring minimal supervision
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Critical thinking and problem solving skills

Desired Skills:
* Experience using the following tools: MOOD, DOORS
* Knowledge of HTML and web design
* Experience in analysis of system requirements and components
* Knowledge of Unified Modelling Language (UML) and Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN)
* Experience in ontology
* Knowledge of configuration management and change management concepts and approaches
* Experience working with government agencies
