Version & Date
Version 3. See NAF.
Definition
Part of the NATO Operational View.
From section 5.2.4.9, p 400 of APPENDIX 5:
A group of persons, associated for a particular purpose.
Comments
An Organisation Type is a specialisation of NAF:Organisational Resource which is therefore not allowed to perform a function. This makes it difficult to see how the type can have a ‘particular purpose’. At best if it has one it cannot be described using NAF.
As a non-functional resource Organisation Type cannot exchange information via a Resource Interaction. In addition only a System can have a System Port.
